The Baha’i faith is very inclusive. It subscribes to the idea that science
and religion are in harmony. It upholds the belief that all major religions
    come from God.

This temple is not for Baha’is to use. It is a gift from them to the world,
so that all people regardless of faith, may have a place of worship and
    reflection.

Also every bit as worthwhile is the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Not nearly
as touristy either, which means lower prices for everything & far fewer
people following you around trying to sell you things. Fantastic food too &
cooler (temperature) because it further north. Not as much air pollution
    either.

Bahai faith damages india. Indian religion not the same as baha’i faith.
they take advantage of poor villagers to make their numbers and power seem
    big.

The Baha’i Faith is boring because it does not delve deeply into any of the
religions (not even understanding them), and they do not delve deeply into
THEIR OWN religion. They don’t like to read their “Most Holy Book,” and
prefer to hide it. They are disinterested in what Hidden Words like mean,
like “Look within thyself and thou wilt find me.” Baha’is are disinterested
in their own religion, and in the religions of others. Yes. BOR-ing
religion. “One people” is also a very boring idea.

I don’t do holidays. Only holy days.

One page of the Bhagavad-Gita has more wisdom and knowledge about reality
than all Baha’i books combined. Baha’is should get out of India and stay
    out.

The Baha’i Faith is boring. But their India temple is, at least, scary.

I’ve been there twice. Lovely, modern, peaceful respite in the midst of
    busy Delhi.

Thanks for your post, funch357. 🙂 I will have to look up Golden Temple in
Amritsar & read & look at pictures & videos of that temple. Thanks for all
the information & details. That was helpful. Have a good day & week,
    funch357! 🙂

Nay-o-me, it is not pronounced BA-HI. Look at the accented letters and if
you could, ask a Bahai believer to sounded off for you. The accented Bahai
name is Bahá’í. I hope this helped.

funch357 – you’re very lucky & fortunate to have visited the Lotus Temple
in New Delhi. Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve wanted to visit India &
the two highly desired places I wanted to visit was the Taj Mahal & the
Lotus Temple. I’ve never visited India, but yeah, the Lotus Temple & the
Taj Mahal would be the 2 places I would immediately visit.

What do you think of Lotus Temple’s design vs. the other traditional temple
designs in New Delhi? Tell us in the comments!

    @OneWorldBore You been on holiday?

Baha’is don’t have a culture. There is no pattern to their temples except
the “nine sides” thing. The Bab was really into Numerology. But Baha’is are
not into numerology. If you ask Baha’is about numerology they know nothing
about it, and get scared, and want you to stop talking about “strange”
things not approved in their shallow consensus culture. If rap music
becomes popular, soon Baha’is make rap songs. They blow with the winds. In
India, they made a stupid temple shaped like a lotus.
